Process Engineer Extract (m/f/d)

As part of the Process Engineering & Development (PED) team at Ohly, we are looking for a Process Engineer Extract (m/f/d) in full-time, to start as soon as possible. In this role, you will work within compliance guidelines and maintain the qualified status of equipment and validated process status.

Your tasks 

• Continuous improvement and troubleshooting of existing equipment and production processes (primarily in the area of extraction)
• Acting as a key interface between innovation and production, ensuring smooth implementation of development projects on a production scale
• Managing troubleshooting and production test runs, and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production equipment
• Interacting cross-functionally with departments such as production management, plant management, controlling, and quality assurance, and participating in exciting projects
• Primarily operating on-site in accordance with applicable compliance guidelines to ensure the qualified status of equipment and maintain validated process conditions

Your profile

• Completed technical studies, e.g., in mechanical engineering, (bio-)process engineering, food or biotechnology, or chemical engineering
• Profound knowledge of comparable bioprocess engineering processes, e.g., extraction, fermentation (upstream/downstream)
• At least 3 years of professional experience in one of the aforementioned areas, ideally in biotechnological production in the food sector
• Good knowledge of thermodynamics and energy management
• Experience in project work
• Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
