As part of the innovation team at Ohly, we are looking for an R&D Technician (m/f/d) to conduct experiments and analytical work in the laboratory, as well as flexibly support projects within the innovation department.

Your tasks 

• Conducting experiments and analytical work in the laboratory.
• Flexible support for projects within the entire innovation department.
• Cross-team assistance with projects according to experimental plans.
• Diverse laboratory activities:
  • Providing technical support
  • Conducting laboratory tests in coordination with R&D Technologists / Lead Experts / Global R&D Managers (m/f/d)
  • Sampling, preparation, and examination of samples
  • Internal analyses
  • Coordinating external analyses
  • Assisting with the upscaling of processes in the technical center as instructed or in collaboration with the PED department
  • Structured evaluation, assessment, and detailed documentation of results in the laboratory journal or project folders (Teams/Excel)
  • Taking on laboratory duties as part of general laboratory organization, such as cleaning equipment, laboratory cleaning, monitoring testing equipment, waste disposal
  • Creating order requests
  • Participating in project meetings
  • Additional tasks as part of teamwork or as instructed by the supervisor

Your profile

• Professional knowledge corresponding to the training BTA/CTA or comparable education
• Strong ability for daily written documentation of all activities
• Professional knowledge and/or work experience in biotechnological fields
• Basic knowledge of biotechnological processes, such as enzymatic reactions, fermentation, purification processes
• Advanced knowledge in the evaluation of analysis results and their assessment; documentation of results; creation and input of data in reports
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs; English in spoken and written form
• Teamwork and strong communication skills
• Analytical understanding and working method
• Understanding of more complex processes
• Solution-oriented and structured approach
• Strong organizational talent and structuring of daily work
